RECENT EVENTS
2007 has seen the upcoming of a new younster in Thabo Gumpo, as well as FM Phemelo Khetho continuing to dominate the mens front. There are questions as to the whereabouts of Botswana's first FM Boipuso Samuel pictured on the right(a marvel to watch with the white pieces) maybe he could be the one to give Khetho a run for his brains.
On the ladies side, Tshepiso Lopang is proving too be more than a handful as she bamboozeld the field which included WGM Tuduetso Sabure. To some this has not come as a suprise as it was the heroics of Lopang in 2005 at the Africa championships which actually gave Sabure the WGM and continental titles. She gave her a helping hand by defeating Sabure's compepitor from Egypt -- a brilliant game that gave the WGM an opportunity to become a clear first( as we all know she utilised it). There is still a lot of questions as to what happened to the brilliant WFM Boikhutso Mudongo.....another one gone missing.
