Welcome to the Botswana Chess Federation website. The site allows you to view some of the most interesting local games, view games live as they occur during the tournaments. If you are a member you will also have the priviledge of downloading important documents and invitation letters, so sign up and join the BCF now.

We at the BCF take great pleasure with improving chess in the African region especially youth development which is why the we have hosted the African junior championship 3 times in the last 6years. This gives youngsters to obtain international titles with the winner becoming an IM (Fide International Master).

Oatlhotse, Pitlagano and Gumpo Win Mahalapye Open Tournament

On Sunday 28th October saw Oatlhotse, Pitlagano and Gumpo all emerge victorious after scoring  a perfect 7 out of 7 points at the Mahalapye Tournament. The tournament also saw a record turnout of 357 participants. more inside....
